Originally Lisa was a litigator, focusing primarily on business contracts, business fraud, labor and employment, executive employment, real estate, commercial leasing, creditor rights, bankruptcy, and commercial lending. Over time and based on her experience litigating in those areas, Lisa’s practice evolved to include transactional work in those same areas. Because of the breadth of her experience touching on most areas needed by clients, Lisa frequently serves as outside general counsel for them.
Lisa is also a certified mediator and arbitrator. Her years of experience as an attorney, participation in numerous mediations and arbitrations over the years, as well as her knowledge in the business world prior to her legal career, help her to more quickly bring the parties in mediation to resolution and come to a determination in arbitration.
An Atlanta native, Lisa attended Georgia Tech while in high school; followed by her attendance at the University of Georgia, having received academic scholarships to attend and having been invited into the UGA Honors Program. Lisa graduated from the UGA Terry College of Business with honors with a major in Real Estate and a minor in Finance. After graduating from UGA and prior to attending law school, Lisa worked for financial institutions, software companies, and food service companies. Lisa rounded out her education at Georgia universities by attending Georgia State University College of Law, again through academic scholarships, and graduated from the GSU College of Law with honors.
Lisa’s education, non-legal work history, and her broad legal experience serve her well in her service of our clients
